Congratulations to the creators of the 20 gigabit ideas that earned the most votes and have become finalists for the $10,000 Gigabit Genius Grant. In order to win the Gigabit Genius Grant, each finalist must submit a Finalist Application.
Finalist Applications are due August 15 at midnight EST and should be no longer than four pages. Please submit your application by email to gigabitgrant@gmail.com.
Short and sweet is the goal here, not a school term paper with funky fonts and margins. Feel free to link to other content on the web.
Please address the following issues in your Finalist Application:
- Overview of project idea
- Community impact of project idea
- Technical feasibility
- Use of gigabit technology
- Cost implications
- Impact on Philadelphia economy (if any)
- How you intend to use the $10,000 grant
A panel of expert judges will choose the winner from among those finalists who submit a Finalist Application. Finalists may be required to complete an interview as part of their application.
The winner of the Gigabit Genius Grant will be announced by September 30 on this website.
